Account Setup: API Key Creation, Stream Inference, and Add LLM Key
Welcome to Ownlayer! Now that you're ready to start using Ownlayer, follow this series to get started as quickly as possible.
Create API Key and Stream Inference
To stream inferences to your Ownlayer account, you need to create an API key. Follow these steps:
Access Your Organization
Find your registered email address on the top right of the home screen.
Click on your email address to access the dropdown menu.
Select 'Organizations'. This will bring you to your personal organization dashboard. If you'd like to create a separate organization to invite your team members, this is where you can do it.
If you have multiple organizations, choose the one you'd like to create an API key for from the left panel.
Create API Key
Choose 'API Keys' from the top panel.
Click 'Add API Key' to generate the key.
Note that for security reasons, API keys are not synced among different members within the organization.
Add API Key to Your Header
Copy the generated API key and add it to the header of your API requests.

Add LLM Provider
To power any evaluator that uses LLM as a judge, you need to add the key from your LLM providers. Currently, we support OpenAI and Amplitude. Follow these steps to add your provider key:
Access the Organization Page
Find your registered email address on the top right of the screen.
Click on your email address to access the dropdown menu.
Select 'Organizations'.
Access Provider Credentials
Choose the organization to which you'd like to add the key from the left panel.
Click 'Provider Credentials'.
Click 'Add Credential'.
Add Your LLM Provider Key
Fill out the form to add your credentials.
Note that only one provider crediential can be added per user, per organization. The key will not be synced among members of the organization.
